Jerry's First Blog
When you read this, you will be reading history in the making. This is my first blog. In fact, I do not even know what a blog is. If the letters B-L-O-G are supposed to stand for something, I do not know what that is either. And I don't know where you put it either. But I do know, Veda (Jori's mom) told me to write something for you guys to put on the blog or to blog or whatever. So, being smart like I am, I did. Because like at your house, "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy".
Now to be more serious, I am sure you noticed in the above paragraph lots of things I didn't know and some things I can't do. But you are reading this blog so it happened.
Moral to this story. Don't let what you can't do keep you from doing what you can do!. It is much easier to see all of the difficulties. And it is good to realize and understand our weaknesses. But I guarantee you, YOU HAVE LOTS OF STRENGTHS, LOTS OF POSITIVES and LOTS of GOOD things about you because God does not make junk.
Stock show time is here. The Texans are swamped with Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, and Houston. In Oklahoma, local, then county shows intermingled jackpot lead to Oklahoma City in early March.
Yep, we fit right in there. Jori showed at Eufaula last weekend and our local this week-end. Also, in that time span she will play a couple of jr. high basketball games a week and couple of high school games. Does that sound like the schedule of some of you?
We went to Denver last week ane saw our friend and partner Joe Ogle be awarded Seedstock Breeder of the Year award by the Maine Anjou Association. The next day Kelsey Butler went with Veda , Jori and me skiing. Well, Kelsey, Jori, and I skiid.
Jason and I have a really nice set of calves on the ground. They look awfully good. So, if you are already looking for next years calves, we have a tremendous set of Maines, and Jason has Shorthorns, Chi's and Simmentals too.
Remember, success begins at home. Your showmanship practice and hair work are evident when you get to the show.
Give all you have, all of the time and you will always have the right to be proud. And I will be proud of you.
Being a winner is a choice. Choose to be a winner!

Thank you, Mrs. G.
Shouldn't there be some political rhoetoric thrown in here somewhere? The notes from Jason and Jerry are both really great. Makes you proud to be a part of this family when you see how much they care about people. Nice job guys.
